About CALM

CALM, short for the Campaign Against Living Miserably, is a charity that aims to lower the high suicide rate among young men.

The organisation connects vulnerable people with confidential, practical and anonymous support from professionals through a website and accompanying helpline. While CALM's primary target audience is men aged between 15 and 35 years old, it doesn't exclude anyone in the UK, regardless of sex, age or geographic location.

In view of the target audience, CALM works hard to maintain a high profile at gigs, stand-up shows and sports events. Its distinctive logo can be found on posters, flyers and beer mats across the country.

As a specialist search agency, theEword has been invited to set up and manage CALM's first ever PPC campaign. We use funding secured through the Google Grants programme to bid for terms potentially relating to suicide, thus offering an alternative to anyone who is stressed out or struggling with life. This work is done on a pro bono basis and the charity is not charged for any work.
