There are plenty of digital agencies offering SEO and PPC services, but how can you separate those which are not to be trusted from those that will provide a high quality, reputable service? A good way of telling is to check the company's accreditation.

Google AdWords accreditation
theEword is a Google AdWords Qualified Company, which means we've gained full accreditation from Google to run PPC campaigns for our clients. The award is a marker of trust and quality, given out to companies which meet strict criteria and are capable of displaying an outstanding level of proficiency in using the AdWords system.
Many SEO and digital marketing agencies employ AdWords Qualified Individuals (and display the certificate on their website), but theEword is one of the few agencies to hold the status of a fully certified Google AdWords Qualified Company.
To gain full accreditation as a Google AdWords Qualified Company, agencies must fulfil two stringent criteria. Firstly, they must commit to a minimum 90-day client spend (Circa. £70,000); secondly, companies must employ at least two Google AdWords Qualified Individuals.

For those members of staff to become Google AdWords Qualified Individuals, they have to sign up to the programme and manage at least one client account for 90 days, building and maintaining a minimum spend of around £70,000 over the course of the period.
In addition to this, they must pass the Google Advertising Professional Exam. The test consists of just over 100 questions, which have to be answered in under 90 minutes. In order to pass, candidates must get a score of at least 75 per cent.
Two members of theEword team are fully accredited Google AdWords Qualified Individuals. Online marketing manager Mark Baker has held the award for a number of years (he has passed the exam twice - he retook it when theEword became a Google AdWords Qualified Company), and Managing Director Al Mackin also has Google AdWords Qualified Individual status.
Both Mark and Al passed the exam with flying colours, coming away with test scores in the high 90s - well above the 75 per cent pass rate. Each of them has been involved in the subsequent training of other team members, meaning that all key staff at theEword have a good understanding of AdWords, how it works and its importance in online marketing.
Al has been optimising pay per click campaigns, including AdWords, Yahoo Search Marketing (previously known as Overture), MSN adCenter and Miva since 2003, while Mark has been working on high level campaigns since 2005.
