Manchester forms its own surprise coalition

Tue 27th of July 2010, filed under Media Centre

Juice Digital, social media marketing specialists, and theEword, experts in search engine optimisation (SEO), have announced that they are to team up to offer the most comprehensive digital agency offering.

Juice Digital MD, Steve Downes, explains the move: "Social media marketing and SEO are intrinsically linked; you need both aspects to create a successful campaign. Both Juice and theEword have developed pools of talent which complement the other perfectly. We could have employed someone ourselves, but this way we, and more importantly our clients, have access to an entire team of some of the best SEO specialists in Manchester."

The partnership will be formally launched at an event held at thestudio in The Hive in Manchester's Northern Quarter. The event will also host the formal unveiling of theEword's Manchester Twitter Report.

MD at theEword, Al Mackin, continues: "It's an exciting time for social media and SEO within Manchester and we have chosen to team up now not only to strengthen our combined offering, but also to clarify exactly what can be achieved through online activity. There's lots of confusion in the marketplace at the moment, and we want to remove the smoke and mirrors and offer exciting, relevant and measurable campaigns."

The Manchester Twitter Report was published on Monday 5 July 2010. Recognised as the first comprehensive study of official Manchester Twitter accounts, it used a unique algorithm to judge official accounts on three factors – engagement, popularity and involvement within the Twitter community.

The updated version adds two more categories – politics and sport – and an expanded Ones to Watch section.
