Thu 7th of May 2009, filed under Media Centre

Manchester-based digital agency theEword today announces details of its new website and charity fundraising initiative.

Key points:
:: theEword.co.uk relaunches with new interactive features
:: theEword's creative director takes part in a sponsored shark dive for charity

Tying in perfectly with theEword's main ethos of providing a transparent, open service, theEword.co.uk offers a detailed snapshot of the company, the work it does and the people who work there.

As well as in-depth information about the services offered by theEword, visitors can view the company's portfolio, history, accreditation and success stories.

There is also a staff profiles section which details not only the capabilities of the team but also reveals something of what they are like away from work, with features on the revamped site including interactive photo galleries and a Twitter feed.

theEword's managing director and founder Al Mackin said:

"We're very excited to usher in a new era for the company with the launch of a new website. We've spent so long working on our clients' sites that it was about time our own had an update!

"The new site includes a wealth of features, such as the photos, blog and Twitter feed, which should give visitors a great insight into who we are and what we do."

The launch of the new site coincides with the start of theEword's new charity fundraising initiative, the first event in which will see theEword's creative director Tom Glass take part in a sponsored shark dive in support of the CLIC Sargent charity.

CLIC Sargent provides support for children and families who are affected by cancer and leukaemia, offering nurses, therapists, financial help and holidays.

Tom is an avid SCUBA fan, having completed dives in places such as Australia and Africa. He also has a long history of charity work – he carried out much of his early design jobs for charitable organisations and has since contributed to numerous conservation and community projects.

He said: "I'm really looking forward to the dive. It's a fantastic charity that I'm really passionate about and I've got family experience of the brilliant work that CLIC do, so it was an obvious choice for them to be our first cause."

Also taking part in the dive will be theEword's online marketing manager Mark Baker.
