New Mozilla browser for Android Honeycomb

A new tablet browser from Mozilla

Mozilla has released a Firefox update for the Android Honeycomb which is set to enhance the browsing experience for tablet users.

Mozilla unveiled a series of screen shots which highlight the fresh new design and easy-to-use Firefox layout for the Android Honeycomb. While it is may seem quite similar to the existing browser, Mozilla is ensuring that Firefox is better for the larger screen. It has made a few essential changes to the Android browser found on smartphones for the benefit of tablet users.

The Firefox update for the Android Honeycomb is one of the many changes Mozilla has undertaken to improve the browsing experience of its consumers. Earlier this month, Mozilla improved Firefox for Android smartphones by adding new features and browser tools to side panels which can easily be tucked away.

Tom Glass, creative director at theEword, stated: “Mozilla is developing Firefox in ways that enable the company to please both tablet and smartphone users. The updated versions of the browser ensure that Firefox users remain loyal as they have a service specifically designed for their device.”

The new features

Mozilla has ensured that Firefox complements the Android Honeycomb’s minimalistic design. The clean and spaced-out layout allows tablet users to enjoy an effortless browsing experience. Static tabs during landscape mode will enable Firefox users to view all of their opened web pages. The development of the Awesomebar also speeds up the browsing time on tablets as users have quicker access to their bookmarks and history.
