Photoshop now available for iPhone
iPhone owners in the UK can now download Adobe Photoshop for their mobile phones. Available via the App Store, the application gives users the chance to edit and manipulate images directly from their handset.
The Photoshop application, which is available free of charge, promises a number of features including the ability to use soft focus and filters on photographs. Users can also crop images, as well as adjusting saturation and exposure.
An official statement from Adobe said:
"After spending three weeks as the "Top Free" app in the iTunes Store following its release in the US and Canada, we are glad to be able to offer Photoshop.com Mobile to our global community, and we thank everyone for their patience as we worked to make this app available worldwide."
Users also have the chance to save their photographs to an account on Photoshop.com. These images can also be viewed online.
'Popular with users'
Tom Glass, creative director at theEword said that the application offered a way for users to perform basic tasks on the go.
"The Abobe Photoshop application gives users the opportunity to carry out rudimentary design tasks. Of course, the app isn't designed for any major workload, but I'm sure that it will be popular with iPhone users with an interest in image manipulation."
