Bing Ads Sitelink Extensions
Bing Ads has made Sitelink Extensions available to advertisers throughout the Bing Yahoo Network.
Prior to the launch, Bing Ads conducted an extensive beta test which offered limited availability to the feature. Bing has reported that during the pilot stage, advertisers saw a 15 to 25 percent jump in click-through rates compared to standard search ads.
Now fully launched, Sitelink Extensions can be added through the Bing Ads interface. Once logged in, advertisers need to head to the Campaigns tab and click on the Ad Extensions sub tab. Then, selecting Add an Extension and Sitelink Extension will take advertisers to a new field where they can create Sitelinks for their campaign.
Increased click-through rates
Through including Sitelink Extensions in search ads, Bing Ads has suggested that advertisers will be able to drive deeper engagement with potential customers by allowing them to see relevant portions of a site. The Sitelinks will also allow additional information to be included with having to change text ads or keywords.
In a Bing blog post on Sitelink Extensions, Microsoft's Rishi Bal said: "These additional text + URL pairs have the capability to help you drive improved ROI, so I encourage you to try them out today."
Natalie Booth, online marketing manager at theEword, said: "Adding Sitelink Extensions to Bing Ads saw an increase in click-through rates during the beta test, so it will be interesting to see what results it brings when introduced to the UK."
