Search marketing service - a new addition to Yell’s extensive product roster
Yell has launched a service aimed at assisting small to medium enterprises (SME) to promote themselves and attract new leads through search engines such as Google.
The international directory announced that it will provide ‘sophisticated’ and ‘managed’ search marketing services to more than 450,000 independent companies.
The news was announced after Yell said it will become a Google AdWords Authorised Reseller. The purpose of this authorisation is to allow the search engine to recommend an approved technology partner to other resellers.
Customers of Yell’s SME service will be able to access millions of Google users in the UK through a managed service platform. Yell says the platform automates many of the ‘labour intensive’ ad creation, bid optimisation and campaign management functions that have presented ‘barriers’ for SMEs in the marketing campaigns.
Search service - a ‘significant milestone’
The search marketing service is another acquisition for Yell. The company already owns search engine yell.com, telephone directory Yellow Pages and 118 24 7.
Mark Canon, president of new media at Yell UK, said the search marketing service is a “significant milestone in the execution of our business strategy to be the leading market in the provision of sales leads for UK businesses”.
He added: “It combines Yell’s expertise in local advertising, our position of trust and close working relationship with more than 450,000 UK business advertisers with Google’s market leading AdWords search marketing programme and large base of users.”
