Carli began her placement as a copywriting intern at theEword after impressing with examples of her previous work and her enthusiasm to gain experience in SEO and commercial writing. She combines her role at the company with studying for finals at The University Of Manchester, where she has been reading Film Studies and Philosophy since 2006.

Carli's aim is to turn her talent for writing – which to date has taken in stints writing on Arts and Entertainment for Manchester student magazine The Sanctuary, as well as several websites – into a career and felt that theEword was the perfect place to help her learn more about the craft.

When she's not swotting up on films, philosophy or SEO, Carli likes to maintain an active lifestyle and enjoys spending time reading, swimming, riding horses and listening to music, among other interests. Since secondary school, writing has been a passion for Carli and she likes to keep this up with regular articles for an online comedy website.

Other interesting facts about Carli include that she is fluent in conversational Spanish; she has worked as a model and actress, appearing in over 40 adverts internationally and bagging speaking roles in three films; and in 2005, she was rated in the top 5% for literacy and verbal skills across the entire country.
