My average working day will include a few project catch-ups with relevant team members, researching and sketching wireframes for upcoming projects, and then eventually getting down to business and opening up Photoshop/Illustrator, on which I’ll create infographics, landing pages, quizzes, and more.
The thing I enjoy the most about my job is actually being a designer, although that might sound cheesy. I never went to university, so I had to put a lot of hours into researching and training myself. Now I get to do what I always wanted to do every day. I also find it really satisfying when I’ve finished creating a piece of work and it looks awesome, the client loves it, and most of all when it gets results!
Since I started at theEword, I’ve completed an apprenticeship with Damar Training, and have also been part of a team that’s frequently nominated for industry awards.
Before theEword, I completed a Level 3 BTEC national diploma in Art & Graphic Design at Oldham College. I then took part in a few months of accounts training before being placed on my apprenticeship here.
Outside of work, I enjoy watching films and TV series on Netflix, going to gigs and planning which country to visit next – as I hope to one day travel the world. I’ve recently been developing my own personal portfolio website, and have been doing some freelance work too.
