Liane Baddeley is a freelance content writer for theEword and enjoys using her varied media and marketing experience to undertake commercial copywriting for a range of clients, maintaining a balance between SEO and the creation of engaging material.
Liane admires theEword's strong focus on high-quality, optimised website content and its tailored approach to digital marketing. Her role includes promotional material, research and writing of news articles and press releases, and creation of blog features.
Liane's experience spans food writing and website content editing for the Manchester Evening News; the role of editor and writing team manager of city guide Itchy Manchester; regeneration and marketing at Manchester City Council; and research, marketing and digital duties for businesses in many different sectors.
After moving to the city in 2000 to attend the University Of Manchester, Liane attained a first-class honours degree in 2003 and completed postgraduate NCTJ journalism qualifications in 2006. Outside work, her interests include food and drink, architecture and renovation, films and television, literature, music and sport.
