More theEword Staff
Having worked as a journalist, magazine writer and sub editor in the regional press for years, Louise brings valuable media experience to theEword. A specialist in writing commercial copy, her portfolio includes features in lifestyle titles such as Cheshire Life and Lancashire Life.
Louise previously worked at the Hull Daily Mail, where she completed an NVQ4 in newspaper writing. She joined theEword team in June 2008. Louise has an appreciation of complementary therapies, and enjoys relaxing with treatments such as reflexology and acupuncture. She enjoys reading about medicine and natural health in her spare time, and maintains an interest in nutrition.
To unwind at the weekend, Louise can generally be found with friends in one of West Didsbury's bars nursing a wine and soda or Mojito. She loves shopping for clothes, and is known to regularly succumb to temptation at the Lowry Outlet Mall during her lunch hour - numerous bags from Marks and Spencer do little to conceal the evidence.
Through journalism and feature writing Louise has been fortunate to enjoy the finer things in life, with press trips to New York on the QM2, Lapland and the French Loire Valley.
