Mark is an IDM-certified digital marketer with 4 years' experience in online marketing and ecommerce. He joined theEword team in September 2008, taking over the management of our PPC accounts. Mark has worked for several large retail brands including Additions Direct, Great Universal and Kays, where he oversaw increases in conversion rates and direct retail sales increases of around 30 per cent.

When taking time out from managing theEword's PPC campaigns, Mark places a strong emphasis on sport and health. He holds a black belt in kick boxing and has achieved brown-belt status in Muay Thai boxing. Overall fitness is also important to Mark and he relaxes with 10km runs around Sale and Chorlton Water Park several times a week.

Mark's penchant for all things martial arts is mirrored in his choice of films and novels. The action movies Predator and Cobra are among his favourites, alongside anything starring the international actor Jean Claude Van-Damme, nicknamed 'Muscles from Brussels'. Mark's preference for reading material centres around CSI detective stories and action plots.

To take time out from his action-packed lifestyle, Mark loves to produce music and is, without doubt, exceptionally talented. When it comes to laughs, Mark particularly relates to cartoons, namely Family Guy and SpongeBob SquarePants.
