Matthew Lawson is an online marketing assistant at theEword. This role entails link building to improve client search rankings, and preparing reports of campaign progress to deliver to clients. PPC account management is another of Matthew's specialities, from creating the ads and researching effective keywords, to monitoring the budget and reporting on ad success.

Matthew is studying to become a member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM), a respected industry body, and is soon to be awarded the CIM Diploma in Marketing. Prior to this, he studied Business and Management at Leeds Metropolitan University.

Before joining theEword, Matthew worked for online printer retailers Printerland. He was promoted from a B2B sales role to an online marketing position after impressing with his drive and skills. The position gave him invaluable experience in running email marketing campaigns, from designing the email to targeting customers and monitoring performance. In addition, he was charged with promoting Printerland's new partnership with Samsung UK, which included a visit to the company's HQ.

Another previous marketing role saw Matthew creating and managing numerous PPC accounts. However, at theEword he has been working on larger accounts and is enjoying learning about the more advanced aspects of PPC management.

Away from the office, Matthew's interests include Manchester United, films, and extreme sports such as water skiing and wakeboarding.
