Rachel Shillcock joined theEword in May 2010 as a junior designer. Her advanced skills in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator caught the eye and she immediately made an impression with the senior design team.
Rachel boasts four years of professional design experience, having worked on a variety of campaigns in her career. Her impressive portfolio includes email marketing projects, website creation and the occasional foray into site development. Her talent has seen her amass an impressive portfolio, which she regularly expands upon in her spare time.
Away from the office, Rachel maintains a strong interest in photography, having claimed a national photographic award in her teenage years. The aforementioned prize saw her winning snap displayed in the Daily Telegraph at the time.
She is also an active member of the local Twitter community, often attending events in the city centre with fellow social media users. She describes the micro-blogging service as a way to 'collaborate with other designers in the digital industry'.
When she's not composing 140-character tweets, Rachel has also been known to settle down with a good book. Indeed, she prefers nothing more than sitting down to a fantastical tome of mystery and adventure.
