Rik is the PPC Client Manager at theEword; in this capacity he is responsible for a number of accounts, optimising these at keyword level to drive a greater volume of visitors to the client's website, reducing cost per acquisition while simultaneously improving the site's conversion rate.

Prior to joining theEword, Rik gained valuable experience within the dynamic search market, working for a number of agencies offering PPC and SEO services. This experience gave Rik the opportunity to work for some big name clients including Mobiles.co.uk, Hallmark and Which.

While studying for a degree in Business & ICT at Sheffield Hallam University, Rik also ran his own successful online recruitment business. It was during this enterprise that his passion for online marketing came to the fore.

Rik has a strong interest in Japanese culture, and enjoys anything related to it, ranging from sushi to anime. It is due to this interest that Rik started studying Japanese in university, and aims to become fluent one day. Another of Rik's interests developed at university is kickboxing, an area that he would like to get back into. When not at work or studying, Rik enjoys nothing more than relaxing and playing his guitar.
