Event management for Social Media. Sorted. powered by Eventbrite
Please note, due to limited space, agencies are not permitted to attend.

Our Twitter event will provide an introduction to all aspects of social media marketing. In particular, the following topics will be addressed in detail:

  • Is Manchester the social media capital of Europe? - Steve Downes, managing director of Manchester social media marketing agency Juice Digital, looks at the global scale of social media engagement and where Manchester ranks.

  • How Manchester uses Twitter - Al Mackin, managing director of theEword, will discuss the newly published Manchester Twitter Report. He will outline what theEword team set out to achieve and how companies can achieve real-world results by taking inspiration from the city's star Twitter accounts.

  • How to avoid legal problems in social media - Mel McGuirk, Media Partner at Manchester law firm Pannone, will cover the legal implications of social media marketing, using real-world examples to identify best practice dos and don'ts.

  • Why is Manchester the greatest city in the world? - Nick Massey, chief executive of Forever Manchester, explains how social media is helping spread the word about Forever Manchester throughout the world.

It may only be four years old but Twitter has already established itself as a major medium for social media marketing. However, the micro-blogging service has enjoyed such a rapid rise that many UK companies are either failing to fully exploit the site's potential or lacking a Twitter presence whatsoever. Here at theEword, we want to give organisations the tools they need to excel on social media.

The Twitter event is bound to be an invaluable learning experience both for social media newcomers and those with an established online presence. Spaces are limited so register now to avoid missing out.
