theEword is ending its financial year with a bang following a raft of new hires, internal promotions and a number of client wins. Record 2013 results mean the agency will expand the team further over the summer months.
MMU Graduate Holly Yates joins the Business Development team underneath BD Director Kleon West. Holly had a fourteen month placement with Johnson & Johnson and becomes the fourth member of the business development team, alongside new starter Matthew Aikenhead.
David Gerrard has joined the SEO team in a senior role, working at a strategic level on client campaigns. The exec team has also been bolstered with the arrival of new starter Tessa Smith.
Adrian Mursec, senior developer, becomes the agency's technical lead after four years at theEword. His team will be expanded to include Jade Smith, who joined the agency as an apprentice in 2011. Smith has been offered a full time design role after spending an increasing amount of time delivering high quality designs for clients.
Meanwhile, the agency is looking to recruit more roles across the PPC (pay per click), content and marketing departments over the coming months, aiming in total to number more than 30 employees by the end of Q2. To make sure that theEword clients and staff get the best possible experience one of the roles currently being advertised is the ‘Director of Love’.
