Google publishes top searches of 2010
Jump straight to the top 10 Google searches for 2010.
Google has published its annual Zeitgeist report, detailing the most popular search terms of 2010, as well as the fastest rising queries. It seems the UK succumbed to Bieber fever this year, as the teenage pop star was fourth fastest rising trend, and second fastest rising person.
Other singers being Googled were Ellie Goulding, Kesha, Katy Perry and Nicki Minaj, while Take That topped the ticket search list. Fashion icon Alexander McQueen and TV presenter Kristian Digby, who both tragically died this year, also made the list; similarly, Stephen Gately was one of 2009’s most popular searches.
