Microsoft unveils new Bing search function
Bing, the search engine from Microsoft, has revealed a new search service for users. The feature, called ‘Visual Search’, sees browsers view search results as images, rather than traditional text listings.
The beta version of Visual Search was revealed at San Francisco conference TechCrunch 50 this week. The service is initially set to concentrate on four main subjects: travel, shopping, health and leisure and Microsoft claim the feature will allow users to find relevant results much faster.
Yusuf Mehdi, Microsoft’s senior vice president of online services, said the service would change the way people see online search.
“There will be a more graphic way people will search, and it will pivot how people search,” he said.
