Search obsessive releases more tools
New Google search platforms on show at Mountain View
Google has released 120 search products in the first quarter of this year as part of their aim to push search in a new direction.
The search giant showcased four of those platforms at their Searchology event at their Mountain View headquarters in California.
Vice president of search products and user experience Marissa Mayer and her team revealed Rich Snippets, Google Squared, Google Search Options and Skymap. She said they would give users a “different way to look at the web.”
Rich Snippets works by producing search results that return more information in every listing. One example might be users looking for reviews of a new restaurant getting a “rich snippet” of average review scores, number of reviews and the restaurant
