Most days at work start with a check of my emails and then look at my schedule. Then I’ll get started. Sometimes I’ll be working on the same project all day, but some days I’ll work on several different tasks. It all depends really. On Tuesdays I have a personal development morning (four hours), in which I learn any new software and design skills that will improve my skills. I also research other people’s work and projects and take inspiration from them, and spend a lot of time researching modern design trends so I’m always kept in the loop.
It’s really rewarding to see your work live on a client’s site, and having quite a lot of freedom with the work is inspiring.
Since I started at theEword, I’ve moved into a full-time role, after working on a freelance basis initially. I now work on some big-name accounts, and I’ve successfully designed pieces for them.
Before theEword I completed a Graphic Design & Advertising course at Manchester Metropolitan University
Outside of work I like to travel, go out with friends, go to festivals, and shop.
